Working on the latest evaluation kit from Texas Instruments, based on the Sitara processor, involved the comprehensive deployment of the Zephyr RTOS on the available processor cores. The implementation required significantly expanding the functionality offered by Zephyr, starting from low-level system boot and configuration, and culminating in providing support for a wide range of peripherals through the creation of dedicated drivers. The result of this work is the most advanced existing port of the system for Texas Instruments processors, forming the basis for implementing advanced commercial projects.
